there was debris everywhere, a strange musky smell hung in the air and there was a thumping sound making the ground vibrate. This was the most toxic place that the Doctor had ever visited in his 900+ years.
It looked like a violent war had been fought there. Was there any living thing left? There was a movement to his left.... A hairy creature moved in the half light...
It was no 1 kid and this vile place was his flat at Uni !
So that's his first year over, and yesterday I went through to Glasgow to bring him and his chattels back. I'd told him to have everything packed up as I had to get back for a school meeting about no2 kid's school trip to France. To be fair to him, most of his stuff was packed, but not everything. There was a lot of traipsing up and down stairs carrying stuff to the car.
Then I saw the kitchen. AAUUGH!! where was the Doctor and his sonic screwdriver when I needed him? Ewww every cup and plate that he possessed was coated with dried on food and randomly piled up around the kitchen. There was no hot water either, so after boiling the kettle a couple of times I set to and washed up.
Then I went back to his room and stripped his bed and found a bowl of cereal in his bed!!! Still, it could have been worse it could have been fish fingers and custard...
I could have done with a real TARDIS with me as the car was chock-a-block with no 1 kid's stuff, and a real TARDIS would have meant I didn't have to face the stress of rush hour traffic while trying to get back for no2 kid. I managed that with minutes to spare.
Still the TARDIS always gets the Doctor to where he needs to be, even if it's not where he wants to go. A bit like being a Mum really.
