Chico & Rita and Viktor

Chico & Rita- an animated film for grown-ups! This is a wonderful story about love and betrayal set in Cuba and the US in the late 1940s, early 50s. If you enjoy a good story, love vibrant music and want to see a snapshot of a different era, this is a must see film. I loved it! four stars ★★★★

Finally my Viktor socks are finished, and just as well as the weather has turned a little nippy and my toes don't like it! I've learnt a different cast on (two needles, figure of eight) and a different cast off (using a darning needle, which makes it a more stretchy edge on the sock cuff) and enjoyed using Angela Tennant's pattern as it's very well written. This pattern is available on Ravelry, and Angela has more patterns inspired by Harry Potter and Dr Who.

Now that I've finished the socks I can go to see the final film- I must be the only person on the planet who hasn't seen it. Hope I can find a screen showing it somewhere!
