It feels nice and I'm curious to know if it will make the sock more hard wearing. I also cast on with a cable cast on, instead of my usual 2 needle cast on. Yarn Forward has been showcasing different cast on techniques which I'm finding interesting.
I also picked up another podcast this week. Dr Gemma of CogKNITive was chatting to Dawn of KnitNaturally and I loved Dawn's southern drawl so tracked down her podcast too. i love her practical tips for food, healthcare, household management etc.
It's still nice to be surprised by D (after 23 years) and it's unusual for him to watch any TV let alone recommend something to me- but he's got me watching The Mentalist which is like Derren Brown meets CSI. I like stuff that is character driven and this is riveting- the hero Patrick Jane advises police investigations through people watching and saying outrageous things. Can't wait until the next series!
