are completed!
And a bit faster than the first pair of socks, taking only 16 days! I can see how knitting socks can be quite addictive, they are quite quick to make and the sock wools are such fabulous colours. Next month's LK mag is going to have a sock supplement too ( woohoo!!).
I was up amazingly early today and downstairs by 8.45 am which startled J2 a bit ( she likes to have the TV to herself in the mornings, and as its verboten during term time she loves the telly during the holidays). I think I need to change my sleep pattern around and sleep for 10 hours at night, rather than 8 at night and an extra 2 after everyone has gone out. So it will be early to bed for me tonight, but I'll probably feel better for it. I took the dog for a longer walk today too, not just the usual 15 mins but about 25 mins down by the river and I tried to lengthen my stride too. I felt that I was walking better on holiday and I want to maintain that.
After the walk I sat down and finished the second sock which meant I got some rest but I wasn't asleep. I caught up on some podcasts. I really like Sticksandstring by David Reidy, and there's a ton of his 'casts to work my way through. After that I was listening to Winter In Madrid by CJ Ransom which I read earlier this year . I feel like I'm strolling around in Madrid all over again....

I love the colours!! Is it self-striping? If it is you did a fantstic job matching it up!
Hi Susie,
just found your blog via Bearium. Like your socks. I too am a very slow knitter which is why your title struck a cord.
whats your ravellry name? I'm cinders on there too.
I loved C.J Sansoms Winter in Madrid and I love his Shardlake books too.
Looking at your other posts we went to see Wall. E yesterday and I was very impressed. its bleak, little dialogue. Not the usual Disney bright ,all singing, all dancing film.
Hi Suse again!
thanks for leaving a comment on my blog.
I thought you might have some chronic illness just from what you were saying on your blog but didnt like to ask in public, then I found you on Ravellry anyway.
i must admit dying the yarns and setting up the Etsy store has been a killer! but i'm relatively housebound and was desperate to do something other than sit and knit all day. I mainly kettle dye which isnt too physical. I do hand dye yarns but it means standing and is quite physically demanding.
C U over on ravellry
