when I was catching up on my reading on Sunday I saw that Lucy on Bearium had done a linked walk round other blogs, picking a new blog from each blogroll that she visited. Great idea, I thought, so here goes and we start with Lucy's beautiful red shawl. I'm so impressed, I haven't dared try lace yet.
Then off to share Lothlorian's frustration with tar and telephones on Middlearth knitter. I think I was very lucky with our builders and road guys they were very nice and helpful.
I love being at the stage when I can admire other people's babies and not be in the nappy stage myself. Its such an exhausting time , sometimes its difficult to appreciate kids when they are so young, however fuelledbytea has a very cute baby and seems to be keeping her sense of humour. Very important!
Less gorgeous ( much much less gorgeous!!) is a tapeworm story on knitandtonic. Interesting and yeuch at the same time!
Off for something more tasty at Taryn's site: she's learning to brew her own beer. Funnily enough I was having a chat with J1 about home brew the other day. I remember when my Dad used to brew huge buckets of beer on the landing outside my bedroom when I was a kid. No wonder I slept so well at night! His pals used to come round, drink the beer, play darts, dominoes, bar skittles and then stagger home. I wasn't allowed to have any as it was too strong... damn, I probably would have liked it.
I bought a shopping bag made from recycled plastic bottles by Cath Kidston today (at Tesco's for £3.50), of course, its going to be a knitting bag not a shopper!! Some more lovely bags are wandering round Canada at the moment on Shaels's blog.
And finally a moment of joy watching the kids play outside with a go kart on 6 and a half sts blog. Kids don't need expensive toys, they need to play outside with their pals with anything that's to hand.
Well that was fun, thanks for the idea Lucy! I'll do it again , soon.
