Bent on revenge

Sunderland's top scorer, Darren Bent, with 22 goals so far this season, was an unhappy bunny when he played at Tottenhan Hotspurs last year. He missed a sitter and his manager, Harry Redknapp, derided his striker, saying that his missus Sandra could have scored from that distance. It was the beginning of the end for Bent, so when he was offered a transfer to Sunderland he jumped at the chance and has proved a massive success.
But he missed a penalty when we played Spurs at White Hart lane in November and felt he needed to prove hiself against his old manager.
It took him 36 seconds to do so on Saturday. The fastest goal in the Premier League so far this season. Then he scored a penalty too. Despite missing two more pens against his old teammate Gomes, we went on to win 3-1, Bent was wildly cheered by the Sunderland fans and Redknapp looked distinctly gloomy.
That's 38 points for us so far, there's 5 games left to play and things are looking pretty steady.
The top of the league is totally bonkers, with Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal fighting to be top dogs. It might have been decided by Chelsea beating Man Utd 2-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday, but no one has given up. This has been the most exciting football (soccer) season for ages!!

Saturday was topped off for me by the new Doctor making his full debut.
It was a great storyline, we loved his bonkers style , Amy, his new companion, is wonderful and the whole family is looking forward to the rest of the series.
In the trailer for the series the daleks, the cybermen and the scary angels from Blink were there- all looking for revenge, and I'll be hiding behind the sofa when the angels come back. Scary!!
