final stage of the tour de France today.
I don't usually watch the live coverage, I follow the progress of the race via Twitter and Radio 5, then watch ITV4's roundup at 7pm with D.
But we do like to watch the final stage live so that we see all the action of this great race and also see Paris in all its glory. It never disappoints.
Today Alberto Contador was the race winner for the third time, and Mark Cavendish won the sprint finish winning his 5th stage of TdF 2010. He's like a bullet that boy, he just appears from nowhere! He's a bit of a cheeky chappy too, so different from the quiet reserved Contador. Andy Schleck came second and won the best young rider jersey (Under 25s) and will no doubt win the overall race one day, he's a tremendous competitor.
Making good progress on Angee while enjoying the fabulous coverage of the race. I've only done one section of the pattern on the leg instead of two, as I want these to be a lighter weight sock.
cookie a designs great patterns and they are so well written too! I can't wait for her next book Knit. Sock. Love. to come out!

Thanks for the tip about the next Cookie A book. Of course, the last thing I need is more patterns in my queue :)
