But I still feel the need to hibernate!

J1 is away this weekend so we decided to do a treat for J2 last night, Chinese food from M&S followed by the Spiderwick Chronicles on DVD. It's a great film and D and J2 had enjoyed the books so we gave BBC1 and Strictly Come Dancing a miss and watched a very enjoyable film instead.
SCD wasn't missed much, we hadn't got into the series at all this time, its starting to see too contrived: there has to be former Eastenders actors who can't get other jobs, some singers, some sportsmen, a serious older person (John Sergeant) & the panto style of the judges.
We watched odd bits, but the BBC1 schedules seemed to be in a flux on a Saturday night, so its hard to know when to get dinner ready, and basically we just didn't care enough (even before the John Sergeant furore exploded).
Yet J2 and I had been avid watchers of the previous series, we'd enjoyed watching Alesha Dixon last time, we'd admired Darren Gough, Mark Ramprakash and Colin Jackson. We've loved the frocks and the fluff. This time? meh. Such Cold Disinterest.
