and that would be because of my sexy black thermals from M&S (not just thermals, ...M&S thermals). It was a new experience for me yesterday, shopping for thermal underwear (and no, that is not me in the photo, it's a long time since I was that slender...). I timidly ventured into the lingerie dept at Marks & Spencer, wandered way past the glam undies, the basques and thongs, the normal underwear, the normal denier tights (pantyhose) and into the corner of shame... where the thermal vests, pants and footless tights lurked. I was horrified and yet relieved to find that they had my size. I used to mock my pal A-M for wearing thermal vests when we were at Newcastle Uni 20+ years ago (the flats were perishin' cold), but today with my new hawt couture I feel a bit better and my legs are more limber, although the main test will be when I walk the dog.
It's something I'll have to get used to though. I've always worn woolly socks, and there's only a few weeks of the year when my feet go au naturel.I've suspected for a long time that there's very little blood in my veins, it's mostly water. But this just shows that middle age, if not old age, is settling in I fear, as I have an eye test tomorrow as well. Deary me!
More cheery stuff is the first flight of my dippy angels: a batch will be winging its way round the world today as well as another Dalek cookie kit. I love taking parcels to the post office, oddly enough it makes me feel like a kid again (and I need to recapture that feeling anyway I can !)
