the woods are looking lovely, the trees are in leaf, there are lots of orange tip butterflies around, plenty of bees (which seem to be sniggering when I walk past!) and finally the tadpoles have hatched out.
the tadpoles
The tadpoles seem to be a bit late this year, they haven't got their legs yet, but hopefully the warmer weather will ensure that they transform into frogs and hop off into the drainage ditches which cut through the woods.
forget-me-nots
I can see why so many artists and pattern designers are inspired by nature. There are so many different shades of green, so many different leaf patterns, and the wildflowers are so pretty too.
Even the woodland management creates interesting sights.
In the last couple of weeks there has been some work done in the woods and the workmen have created fascinating stacks of branches which are great for bird and insect life alike.
I love walking the dog and seeing how the woods are changing week by week, especially when it's such a warm sunny day like today (it's about time too!!)
