The Toon were lucky to get 3 points tonight, having dominated the first half and scoring twice they let West Brom get back into the game (final score 2-1)Amazingly enough Joey Barton got his first goal since being released from gaol as he took the penalty.
A bizarre form of irony, as he will be paying the penalty for assaulting a young man at New Year for a long time. He has done his time but he's not allowed to forget it.
Unlike Tony Adams who served time for drink driving and has been rehabilitated back into the football family and was appointed manager of Portsmouth today. He faced up to his addiction and turned his life around, maybe Joey Barton can do that too.
