I won it in a donation draw run by Ann in Ontario, who was doing a sponsored walk/run for Alzheimer's. I donated in honour of Sir Terry Pratchett, never thinking I would win anything, other people on Ravelry donated prizes in lieu of cash.
I think in the end there were 10 yarny prizes to win and Ann raised well over Can $600. Brilliant! She's hoping to make this an annual event, which would be fantastic!
J2 squished the yarn against her face and said "ME!ME!"...typical! It is more her shade though, so I can have the pleasure of using it and she can wear it.
J1 squished it and said it felt like the wool for his hat: he's right, both are superwash merino. It's amazing that he spotted that!
The second sock is progressing, the cuff is done and I'm ready to start on the heel flap.
I missed Spanish this morning as I was aching and sneezing, which was annoying as I had done my homework! Still, if I went to bed at a sensible time I'm sure I would feel better. (sheesh, who knew? regular sleep is good for you! idiot!). I've decided to bribe myself with money to make sure I control my sleep patterns better....it could work, and then I can buy more yarn and more knitting books... if that is not enough to motivate me , I don't know what is!
